We are now passing two years of the NewSOC project under restricted conditions, which include that our 4th half-year meeting was again held virtually. Everybody has become used to this format and 35 participants showed impressively that we are very well able to continue working under challenging conditions. Looking at the technical progress, we can conclude that the NewSOC project is well on track. We reach the promised deliverable and milestones. Interactions between research and industry – for integration of newly developed components into industrial cells and stacks – are functioning. The mid-term review confirmed our successful handling of the project.
However, more efficient exchange, mutual motivation, and networking besides the official agenda that comes with physical meetings is dearly missed. We are looking forward to the expected “more normal” working conditions, hopefully within the third project year.
